iNWS is a project that I officially am working on as part of my job for the National Weather Service.  The goal of iNWS is a suite of applications that allow you to do everything from receiving text message alerts for custom areas to iPhone and Blackberry applications to check weather conditions.

My main capacity of this project was the web interface design involving using Symfony, and developing around it.  The web site uses a wide array of AJAX calls to update user profiles and OpenLayers maps to allow the users to visualize their alert areas.  The entire site was a custom design by myself, with UI assistance from the iNWS team.

The iNWS website is currently being modified and its style updated for the official release of iNWSv3 this coming fall.  It adds even more user functionality and is even simpler to navigate.
